Andy Kazen

Hi! I’m Andy Kazen also known as AK Big Slick.

I have co-hosted a poker podcast with Vic Porcelli since 2009. I’m fortunate to have a partner that is not only a poker player but a talented broadcaster. That’s a key part of what separates us from all the other poker podcasts. Vic has done this for a living for nearly 40 years. We love poker and discuss strategy, poker news and have great guests.

I’ve been playing poker for over 30 years starting with seven card stud. However, these days I only play No limit Holdem. I actually won the 1st tournament I ever played 23 years ago in Lake Tahoe.

I’m always working on improving my poker game. I’ve played in the World Series of Poker for five consecutive years. I qualified through a poker club that I’ve been a part of for seven years. My best performance was the final table of The HPT Main Event a few years ago. I finished 8th out of 450 players!

I’ve been married 28 years to my lovely and occasional poker playing wife Leslie. My daughter Rachel is a senior at Mizzou. We have lived in St. Louis since 2000. I grew up in NJ so don’t ask me what high school I went to. I have been in radio and software sales for over 25 years. I’m now a Financial Advisor.

I’m excited about our new poker podcast and open to any feedback from listeners.
